Different

How is it that they only see the beauty in you
When you’re 30 pounds thinner?
What were wandering eyes seeing
When your clothes fit a little tighter
And clung to lived in skin?
I can’t imagine I’m that different,
Perhaps my smile sits a little funny now,
But without the weight of life on my body,
Am I really so different as I was 30 pounds before?
